I should probably stop driving like i stole it and also figure out the deal with silicon
i got a sample from the dipstick @6145 miles and was hoping that i jacked it up, apparently not. HUGE jump in lead for some reason
i did add 1/5 qt of oil after previous sample was taken so that's probably why alluminum and iron dropped by 1

Are you running an oil cotton gauze air filter like a K&N? If so that could be a source of silicon.

nope. just a standard MANN filter

I don't like to tell people to monkey with their air filters once installed, but perhaps ensure it's seated right. The way the G37's system is designed, if one isn't careful, one or both filters might not be forming a proper seal.
