Yes TVs are another big change. I went from two old tube style that drew 300 watts each to two LCDs that draw around 150 watts each.

I kill the power to my computer and satellite receiver at night too. The Dish network satellite receiver will draw 50 watts even when on or off. It's a pig imho.

Of course anything that any politician says can be construed as nothing but politics, but there's a lot of truth in what this guy's saying...especially the part about how speculation drives up the price, which it does....

2. TV sets, picks any 2 out of 3 and save Mother Earth

2.1 TV size and the IQ of the owner are reciprocal
2.2 TV is for not so intelligent folks/voters/consumers
2.3 Life without a TV set is not as miserable as one might think
