Oil was very black maybe due to the ester cleaning capacity & I didn't want want to push too far the OCI.

Figured why not go full synthetic since the car doesn't leak or burn any oil, and it was cheap from walmart

Drained early after having valves adjusted and timing belt replaced, along with the long time the oil has been in the crankcase with a lot of short trips and cold temperatures when it was in use last winter.

04 Impala. Out: VWB 5w30 and Mann filter. In: VWB 5w30 and 1/2 qt of Napa synthetic 5w30, Microguard filter. 4,420 miles on oil and adbv let the oil out as soon as I tipped it over. Done with Puro made filters!
