New spec, new license fee. What's not to like about that for GM? People here that really beat the old 6 speed in off road and trailer towing like Red Line D6 in the transmission and transfer case.

Yep, and rated for over 750 foot pounds of torque!

Faster shifts than a Porsche DCT.

With the proliferation of torque converter equipped DCT's in Acura, Benz, and others this means the slush box is not dead...

So, Dexclown-6 wasn't good enough? Waiting on Dexron7!

We'll just have to be happy with synthetic Dexron-6HP.

I just hope that its backwards compatible, as an upgrade to DexronIII and Dexprofit-6.

Why the hard feelings? By almost any measure of effectiveness Dex VI is leagues better than previous versions.

Please explain without the hyperbole...

I predict the new full synthetic ATF will have a 100C viscosity spec in the 4.X cSt range, a 40C viscosity of 18-20 cSt, and a Brookfield viscosity of 7,500 cP.

Is a variant of this new slushbox what the automatic Z06es are going to get?
