Want aftermarket radiator and water pump advice

Gates hard parts are not my cup of tea. It seems they're often plain-Jane Chinese white box parts with a Gates sticker. For a water pump I'd choose a different brand.

Maybe some of them are good, but some of the gates parts I've purchased and seen were not impressive.

often they are worse. when it heats up it expands. the aluminum tanks wont let it expand so it crushes the tubes in the corners and they leak. generally not repairable.

Stay away from the GMB pumps. I've seen many of them fail within 150-5000 miles. Don't know what they are doing, and I'm not sure they do either. Bosch pumps I have installed have never come back. All I use on my vehicles.

My advice would be flush and back-flush your OEM radiator, and don't replace a good working OEM waterpump with a new Chinese one.

Unless it is timing belt driven, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
