Are white carquest oil filters any good?

My wife had the oil changed in her 98 explorer eddie bauer and the service station put in a white carquest oil filter. Who makes that filter and is it any good? She di this without my knowledge as the oil warning indicator said change the oil, so she did!

great oil filter, use the napa golds myself. i beleive their oil is valvoline as well.

OK... if that white one is the Gold, then what color is the cheaper "Silver" filter??

The oil is not straight Valvoline... it's weakened Valvoline.

Looks like this shop did ok on my wife's car. We had not used them before. Thanks everyone.

BTW, It is becoming more difficult to find a good independent mechanicsince so many service stations are now gas/grocery stores.
