Hello all! I have an 01 Ford Ranger (SOHC 4.0) that has what appears to be a "slight" (doesn't leave spots) rear main seal leak and I'd rather not pay $700+ to have it fixed. I've been running Mobil 1 High Mileage 5w-30 for about 20k, so I doubt that's going to solve the problem. Is the Liqui Moly product any good, or is there anything else you fine folks would recommend? Next month I've got a 10 hour road trip (Louisville KY to Destin FL), so I'd like something I could just dump in and forget about. By the way, I just changed the oil so I'd rather not fool with something that I'd have to dump after 500 miles. As always, thanks for any help!

I love lobro moly products, but I just solved this exact issue in my son's tired old Lincoln with Maxlife synthetic blend oil...

Why not, will the products comflict in some way?

I've been using M1 HM for the past 20k miles, I know Maxlife HM is an outstanding product but if a HM oil was going to solve the problem, I think the M1 would have pulled it off in the last few OCI's...
