IPhone 4 Can Only Hear Me On Speaker

Talking to the wife when poof, she can't hear me. I put it on speaker and now she can. Turn speaker off and she can't hear me again.

What is the deal?

Could be wet? Mine did that yesterday, dried out, magically came back!

Put it in a bag of white rice to aide in the drying. Might come back, might not, it is an "older" phone now.

This is a very common issue. Sometimes the noise canceling mic acts up. If a wipe and restore doesn't fix it, it's not going to work at all.

Or a simple reboot might fix it.

Or the wet thing...
