Bought 1 of these the other day and noticed something very odd. At least I've never seen anything like it.
Usually when looking in a filter with a bypass in it you can see the bypass valve seated at the bottom of the filter. I'm assuming that's the bypass valve anyway. On this particular filter it's up to approximately 3/4" from the return hole. Couldn't budge it with my little finger nor 40 lbs of pressure from the handle of a set of pliers. I'm not going to use it but am really curious.??? Purolators 1-800# is useless.
