I am the same way, Last Month, I took my 2012 Civic to Phoenix, then back to Las Vegas and then back to Texas.

I choose to change the oil before the trip, no reason, just the way I am

Should I change before the trip? I know the OLM won't give me any trouble, but this is about the farthest already I've ever gone for one OCI, so I'm getting antsy...
Change it. It's the only smart thing to do.
