Filter looks fine. That said, without more information on any correlation to engine filter use, or for equivalent filters from other manufacturers under the same trans conditions and fci, I have no point of reference to compare. But yeah, looks fine.

I don't see how bypass and ADBVs will have been designed to work properly in this application.

The transmission should be putting out much less pressure and flow than an engine oil pump can, so these should be a non factor, especially for such a large filter which has plenty of media.

Have you ever drained a transmission from the cooler line? It doesn't shoot out terrible fast!

The ADBV should have no effect on anything, since its a 1 way valve and should be operating correctly all the time.

Having extraneous parts that are "harmless" is just poor design and/or poor application. Using something for an unintended application isn't a sound move regardless of whether it seems harmless.

The magnefine filters aren't overly expensive and include magnetic filtering which is critical for transmission applications.

You should use an Ultra filter for this application! Our standard oil filters are not designed for 50k of use but the Ultra will easily stand up to this kind of use.

You do realize this isn't being used on an engine, right?

This Trans Dapt transmission filter kit calls for regular oil filter with a change interval of 50k miles.. Ive used this same set up on my parent's 92' Pathfinder and they drove that thing for over 300k miles with not a single transmission or filter issue..
