I always tried to use an oil that was spec'd for the vehicle. Mobil 1 0W40 or PU Euro for BMW, Audi, VW etc and Dexos for GM where applicable. If there was not a Motorcraft filter available I would use Wix or Bosch. I didn't do many just oil change jobs but when I did I tried to do them right. So can you explain to me what I was doing wrong? Or are you just in the camp that believes anyone who works on cars is too dumb to do anything else?

I'm in the right camp but ZeeOSix and 901Memphis are in the wrong camp.

Sure, anyone using a filter that is only 50% efficiency at 20 microns must be in the "right camp".

The "right" camp is anyone that is for One Filter, One OCI!

That's the "old camp" from 1968.

My uncle has a shop they buy nearly everything from Napa because they deliver.

I started shopping napa, because their service is real good, and so are the people.

Prices are higher, but I get to stay out of an autozone or advance auto parts.
