Buick Grand National Zddplus

Going to do an oil change in a Buick Grand National. Going to use Catrol 0W-30 GC. I also have on hand a few bottles of Zddplus. Would it hurt to add a bottle? Any negative effects from adding this to the GC?

Should be a roller cam probably don't need it will it hurt anything no.

GC is SL rated, so it doesn't have the additive reduction of Zn etc. that SN and SM have.

I don't do anything special with my solid lifter truck. I even have higher ratio rockers to boot. any 5-20 or 5-30 that is on sale for the truck.

The GN's used flat tappet cams IIRC. I used Rotella in mine and it used to be popular with the GN crowd but it doesn't have the good stuff in it it used to have. ZDDP will help. The Valvoline VR1 would be my oil of choice for the GN.

I didn't know they where flat tappet but I would just use mobile 0w40 .

GC is overkill for a stock BGN. Just use GC and do not dilute the chemical balance established by professional triobologist.
