1999 Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter, larger Rifle windshield, bags, Vance and Hines Long Shots exhaust, K&N air filter, Amsoil 10W40 m/c oil, 38mpg at 60-65, 35mpg at 75-80.

My 1981 Kawasaki KZ1000 gets around 33-35 mpg in town and 40 mpg on the highway, but that could change for the worst fast if you use wild man throttle control..haha

2014 KTM Duke 690
mixed use
running average this year
4.9L/100KM
48 US MPG

best: 4.36 L/100KM or 54 US MPG
worst: 5.85 L/100KM or 40 US MPG (first tank, likely not filled completely by the dealership etc.)

update to earlier post- went on 500 mile trip after July 4. Used no oxy only, averaged right at 42 mpg at 70 mph freeway riding. Bad news is, while riding through a town, hit large hydraulic oil spill at intersection and hit the deck. Minor damage to crash bars, leather jacket, and helmet. Turned out it was dumped by a DOT boom truck, which was stopped at a gas station just up the road. Driver said truck just came out of shop for hydraulic leak repair. So now am working on claim with state.
