Sears is implementing a new plan-a-gram in the tool area and moving products around. If a product is not listed on the new plan-a-gram then it goes on clearance. Now this may only effect certain class (size) stores, but I would guess not. So poke around in the tool isles and see if there are any good buys.

I have seen it before...new plan o grams mean less inventory.Happened recently at Dollar General.

I see the same thing going on at Lowes. I bought some sets of the full polished stubby wrenches and other tools for really short money.
They replaced them with really cheesy looking Chinese sets for more $$.

One thing that is gone are the professional screwdrivers. Still in catalog however.

But Sears will have different plan-a-grams for big stores vs medium stores.

One thing I saw was the top of the line 1/2" IR impact wrench discounted to $213. Model TI2135 I believe. While many people may have put their greasy fingers on the wrench, its never been used.
