The end of the air/oil cooled Ducati draws nearer...

Sadly all motorcycle mfg will suffer this fate...except for the Chinese.

Horsepower wars and emission regs leave no other choice. From an engineering perspective, this is a good thing. From an enthusiast's perspective, some of our motoring soul is dying.

I don't think the only holdout will be the Chinese. Harley will resist til they are forced.

Cooling fins give an audio quality that cannot be replicated by a water jacket.

I'm sure its a better motorcycle than a the old air/oil cooled L twin in every measurable way... but Ive got a soft spot for the old ones...

Still, I may need to go take a look...

Harley introduced they're new twin cool system for 2014 in some of they're upscale models. Simply put, it's a 1 qt liquid system that circulates coolant around the cylinder heads. I'm sure EPA regs were the reasoning behind the twin cool system.

I know...

BMW is a bit more elaborate...

This is a completely different motor... It makes 121HP which is significant...
