Never understood why people on Bitog change the filter but not the oil.

We regularly have posts stating an new air filter is does a better job at filtering out dirt. Though i feel it will be less efficient in the amount of air it lets through.

I have seen manufacturers have service schedules where a filter stays in for two ocis.

But never seen any manufacturer consider leaving oil in and change a filter.

As far as the above UOA goes.

Fuchs GT1 is a good oil. Fuchs used to be the go to oil for the VeeDub folk in the UK but is now a little more difficult to locate as German&Swedish were the biggest stockists and now they have gone to Carlube products.

Fuchs do a GT1 product that fits the bill for the Jag, C1 5w30, might look more closely into availability and pricing.

Car is still under warranty that's why I changed the oil filter.I know the oil filter easily can go for year with out any drama.(Most of cars recommending 15000km/1 year oil and Filter change in these days.)
Oil worth A$90 and filter cost A$16.
Oil looks great so why I dump A$90 worth oil and keep the $16 oil filter in?
