Although they say they will keep Spectrum lines seperate, I wonder if Kendall GT-1 and Red Line will be altered in any way through technology sharing.

C-P greatly altered the Kendall formulations when they bought the name from ARG. Hopefully they don't do the same thing to Red Line.

Huh.. so a private equity group wanted to unload the company. P66 "agreed to acquire " sounds more like Spectrum went to them.

ConocoPhillips didn't have a boutique brand. Now they do.

ConocoPhillips should take care of Red Line at least as well as a private equity group would. And they would have useful technology and research to share, whereas the private equity group is nothing but a financial investor looking for maximum profit. I have seen their financial pressures transform small businesses for the worse.
