Is there a shelf life for belts and hoses?

Probably 6-8 years in climate controlled environment.

Yes, but I have no idea how long. I wouldn't want hose that was hanging on hook for over 4 years or so. Did you try asking Gates or Goodyear tech line?

Sometimes it's hard to see the weather checking, but if you see that than it's needs replaced. You can get a 50 cent belt checker at any auto store, [censored] they probably give you one, it gives you a decent idea of the wear.

Depends on how they are stored. Tires, belts and radiator hoses can have their life shortened by ozone given off by an electric motor, like one from an air compressor. Storing them in direct sunlight is obviously bad for them also.

Probably longer than the 17 years I've been running my oem hoses. Not worth worrying about imo.
