03 f-350 no power after replacing battery cables

Some starters have a threaded copper stud that the plus cable goes on. That stud (again on some / not all starters) has a thick head that is used as part of the circuit the solenoid contacts. Now if you remove the old plus wire at the starter, and install a new plus wire, you probably (almost always) ended up rotating that head so that the worn (from arcking) sections inside of the starter no longer align up with the moving parts that contact that head. It is possible that after you rotated that thick head the worn surface will no longer make good contact. The fix is to remove the starter and either machine the old head flat or get a new copper stud.

On a fender mounted solenoid that copper stud would be on the fender mounted solenoid, you could replace either the solenoid or the stud if you can purchase that stud separately.
