Another long-time brand is disappearing. Hess announced the sale of all retail gasoline operations to Speedway, a division of Marathon Oil. All Hess stations will be converted to the Speedway brand.

So, any comparisons between Hess gasoline/detergent quality vs Speedway? Better, worse -or- pretty much a wash?

Hello, I didn't know this 'all my life' as perhaps I should've.
The green and white New York Jets logo was colored after the Hess logo since Leon Hess owned the team.

Who owns what now is unknown to me. I just thought that was cool.

I can't find any info about their fuel quality/detergent on their website, but would guess it will be around the epa minimum requirement like Hess.

I try to avoid Hess around here because the two stations are pretty old and I have had a couple friends get bad gas from them. Last time I filled up there I noticed more pinging and the idle wasn't as smooth.
