1971 Sony CVM-110UA TV Monitor

Picked up this 1971 Sony CVM-110UA Transistor Video TV Monitor at an estate sale for dirt cheap in late October 2013. I had not tested it, so I took a chance on it. Brought it home and tested it and it turned on. Essentially it works, but needs some contact pots cleaned. It had woodgrain vinyl covering on it, but I removed it.

More on that cool 8 pin connector: The TV would tune in the show, digest it into video for the video tape recorder (They didn't call them cassettes in 1971), and could have been 1 inch reel-to-reel (most likely) or 2 inch "quad".

This unit was definitely for use in a production studio or in a remote truck out in the field. I think they had Sony U Matic 3/4" tape by this time so the connector is likely for their own
cassette video system used in production and editing.
