Is 10w40 the oil to use or should I run the 20w50?

Whats your temps like? Any mods?
If running it hard, I always ran 15w50 yamaha gold bpttle or 10w60 motul.
Nevwr an issue.
Got a grizzly sitting in the shed with a little over 6k...has only seen yamaha dino, runs great.

10W-40 will work, if you want to kick it up a notch, go one quart 10W-40 one 20W-50. I THINK it takes 2 quarts, right?

Its a 2014. 1st oil change was at 2hr, replaced with Yamaha 10w40 dino and have 5hr on this oil. Want to switch to a synthetic after break in. yes it takes 2 quarts.

I wouldn't go straight 20W-50. Heck Amsoil recommends 0W-40. Start with 10W-40, if a UOA shows shearing or if it's super hot then just mix 50/50.

I purchased the regular amsoil motorcycle oil, do I want to use the 4 stroke powersports oil?

The 10W-40 is fine. You don't need the 0W-40.
