No problem. Never trust the dealer, at least until you can confirm their nonsense in writing from somewhere else.
I remember the chaos that ensued from VW/Audi dealers using GTX 5w-30 for long OCIs in TDIs and gassers where GC was the approved lube, and some of the Mercedes people up here at the time were no brighter.
