#0 Lithium grease for the Mantis?

If the machine were mine, I would find a source for the correct lube. #0 grease is really thin and getting close to a semi fluid grease like #00 that is used in farm equipment. #2 grease will be to viscous to be used where a #0 grease is specified.

most of the gear box lubes for power equipment are very thin a runny so I would not use any thing as heavy as a #2.

I have time. I found the manual on line and found out how to check the lube. It was OK. To check, the pan has unscrew from the housing. It is in the tilth constantly. I had to spend 15 minutes cleaning the tines, then wire brush the dirt out of the phillips heads. The cover came loose from a perfect cork gasket I have a qt of MTL that I'm using in The Ariens snow blower's augur drive. I bought MTL because it was the only one that said it was safe for brass. Other labels skirted the issue. The Mantis has a brass ring gear.It is a similar application. IIRC, the MTL is 80/90.
