What viscosity of oil does the manufacturer recommend ? Is that the engine that has an 8000 rpm redline ?

This is a VW 507 oil intended primarily for engines using ULSD and is a low-SAPS oil.
It may not offer enough TBN for runs to the limits of the MM in your Civic.
Also, is your car still under warranty?
Does this oil list any API spec, since that is the spec that Honda requires for the engine oil?
Realistically, this is a good and typically expensive oil.
The price you got it for is certainly right.
It should do well in your engine but may not have enough TBN to serve for the life allowed by the car's MM using US pump fuel.
If you shorten drains a bit, it should be fine.

No problems with TBN then.
A good oil to have gotten it for free.
On short drains, I'd use it without thinking twice.

Right, but it has been formulated to VW 507, which is pretty stringent.
It's not as though this oil exceeds any of the metallic add levels allowed for API SM/SN oils.
While it might be a low-SAPS, low TBN oil, it'll be fine for the drain intervals you contemplate.
