This topic has been shot to death, but I have something else to add. I was doing a bit of research on our pressure washer because I wasn't getting any pressure. Turned out the "quick connector" between the hose and the wand was faulty..
Anyways I know they say to use Cat Pump oil or these hydraulic
oils.
Found this info here..
Oil Alternatives-Standard Pump Models
Shell Tellus T-68
Exxon Univis 68
Mobil DTE 16
Amoco Rykon 68
Univerzol 68
Lubriplate FMO-350 [food grade]
Citgo/Clarion FG / AW 68 [food grade]
According to the owners manual (PDF) (Page 39) provided by Northern Tool, non detergent SAE 30 oil may be used. This stuff is much easier to find than any of the other mentioned oils. Heck Accel oil can be bought at WM for under $3 a quart IIRC.
