Old man added 3qts too much

Father saw his suburban was 1/2 on the dipstick so he added just under 3 qts of oil!
The full range on the dipstick is 1qt.
At least he used T6 5W40!!

I like the oil selection. I think the oil quantity should be reduced. Be nice and reduce his oil stash. Some guys have too much oil. He is one of them

Hopefully you brought it down a little bit. 3 quart overfull would probably touch the crank or create foaming.
