There's another one in that same Impreza forum there with pics of the TSB, but I couldn't find it. There's some bitterness in that thread because people were told for years that their consumption was normal.

Hmm that does seem very specific to the FB engine, which is much more of an evolution of the old EJ engine than the FA20dit in the XT. Doubt it'd apply, or at least I certainly hope it's not the same thing. Nobody on NASIOC has said anything about the FA20 in the BRZ having fuel contamination?

I totally understand the bitterness though, Subaru's maintained for years something ridiculous like 1-2L of oil consumption was normal for the EJs. At least they're admitting it now.

btw I finally added the post to SF.org, though it's pretty quiet there.

Wear metals are trending down nicely, a good thing.
Fuel does look really high but is also trending down.
I wonder whether the rings aren't seating well, and fuel is falling as they seat?
If that's the case, I wonder whether a no-moly oil for a couple of runs of a few thousand might help?
Something like Valvoline white bottle.

The BRZ doesn't appear to have a fuel dilution problem. Maybe the credit for that goes to Toyota's direct and port injection used in the BRZ/FR-S as opposed to Subaru's DI used in the Foz and upcoming WRX . There are some uoa's at ft86club.com:
