Baldwin filters

Very well respected, especially in the agriculture field. The majority of their filters are made in the U.S., especially Nebraska, although they do have some manufacturing overseas.
Most of their filters have nitrile instead of silicone.

I'm running one right now without complaints.

Baldwin filters are loved by farmers, their marketing is not very good in getting self space at auto parts chains.

If local part stores have Baldwin I will try it.

+1, but can't really complain, I'm very pleased with my UOAs.

They don't get talked about much because:
They aren't cheap
They aren't expensive
Their quality is good
They aren't sold at Walmart
They don't go on sale at Napa, Autozone, etc
They aren't easy to find
They aren't hard to find

Basically, nobody brags or complains about them.

They are the best color of all filters.

Agreed.

The same can be said for Donaldson and Hastings.

Yep, but I don't mind the nitrile. I'd prefer silicone, but it's not a deal breaker.

Happy birthday, by the way, Merk!

Hello, The only time I've ever seen them is in Amazon listings. There they are quite expensive.
If they're big in the agriculture community then they sit on shelves with a high price tag and the farmer, who invariably has accounts with his suppliers, gets a discount.

Anybody seen the pale blue, unmarked filters NAPA used to sell in the countryside? Same thing I'd bet. Kira

Baldwin makes a great oil filter.. I never hear anyone complain about them. A guy on you tube does a nice cut up on one. he is going to cut open a FRAM and a Super tech and a baldwin and wait to you see the perfection of the baldwin filter compared the rest

Hastings and Clark are under the same ownership as Baldwin.

Hastings' manufacturing is consolidated with Baldwin's in Kearney, Nebraska.

Clark, which works in different markets, is based in Lancaster, PA.
