Based on the table from Lapua for their own branded ammo:

they are between 1,275lb-ft and 1,819lb-ft at 1,000 yards, so it is certainly possible.

Get a nice backup barrel for that bad boy too. Those shots are usually made off of some kind of platform, with a long barreled heavy rifle. If you shoot off a rest or platform put a 30" barrel on that bad boy, you'll be amazed how far you can reach out and touch something with it! 338LM rocks!
Read up on the 338LM improved if you ever get into Wild Chambered Rifles and loading for them. The 338LM Improved is tough to beat. The 30-338LM is no slouch either, especially if you get bitten by the Wildcat bug.
