Strange oil usage

05 Matrix here with 75k. I remember when my 99 Accord 4 cyl started to consume a quart after highway driving. Topped off the current fill of MC oil with some Valvoline MaxLife and never noticed anymore consumption. Also replaced the pcv valve with an oem version at the same time.

It's not the actual oil, it's a design flaw...and it just shows up when the oil rings finally get carboned up.

NO, NO, NO, the fix in USA corolla engine was in 2003. It's the european corollas that were fixed in 2005.
