I haven't tried it, but I think according to the rules, that you could stack $100 worth or rewards and use it as you see fit. For example, if gas cost $4/gal you could buy 20 gallons worth of gas 25 separate times if you had $100 worth of rewards available.

From the rules:

FRN™ Rewards Codes must be entered at pennzoil.com/fuelrewards by December 31, 2014.

Once the FRN™ Rewards Code has been entered, the Fuel Rewards® savings earned through that FRN™ Rewards Code will expire on the last day of the month, three months after the month in which that FRN™ Rewards Code is entered.

Fuel Rewards® savings will be depleted in a single purchase, unless the amount of Fuel Rewards® savings in your FRN™ Account exceeds the price of a gallon of gas at the time of purchase. Unused Fuel Rewards® savings will expire on the expiration date as explained above.

Did you check if the ring seal was attached to the cap or if it spun freely? It can look attached but if you try putting your fingernail between the seal ring and cap, or if you try spinning the seal, you should be able to see if it's connected or not.

Did you feel or notice the seal breaking from the cap when you opened it?

You can call Pennzoil and give them the code that didn't work and see if they will give you a code on the phone, or if they will still make you request it online. Some people have been able to return open containers.

Quote:
If for some reason a customer receives an “already used” code, they can notify Shell by calling (866) 707-6737 and providing the reward code corresponding to that message.

On another note, you all must have smart criminals, while I live around a bunch of stupid criminals.

Went to Meijers tonight to take advantage of the last day of their 5 dollars off automotive purchases...almost every PPPP had the sticker for the $1 dollar off gas promotion removed. I have to assume they thought that was the ticket to free gas by just removing the sticker.

I can see the outline of where the sticker was mostly from where the color from the label peeled away with the sticker they removed.

My codes came in yesterday.Yes, I was one those who was denied. Becareful when you are entering the codes. The codes do not show any indication whether it is for one quart or five quart jugs. I had seventeen codes. The last two were for five quart jugs. I went from a $3.22 reward to $5.22. frown
I have asked the network to remove my last two entries and reissue my codes so that I do not lose $40.00. I missed an update and went right by the $4.22 mark.
I trust FRN will adjust this for me however I wanted to share this experience to save other members from this situation. This journey started in February.

LOL

There is so much nonsense in this promo offer, and comical hoops to jump through as well. Seems like the reward is not worth the hassle and effort.

Just FYI those caps have to go on somehow. I suspect they soften them in near boiling water then stuff them down on. Removal could be the reverse. If you look at the threads in the cap or jug interface they have a bevelled edge so a cap could jam down-- or, if appropriately and delicately pried, removed.

I purchased 9 5-quart jugs (6 plat and 3 ultra) All but one of the codes were entered successfully. One of the ultra only registered as $0.10 while the other nine caps registered as $1.00 each. kind of strange. The cap that came up as $0.10 was also loose when I took it off.

I purchase the Ultra Euro 6 quarts at a time from Amazon..had to download the Amazon receipt and sent it in on my FRN account for credit. No codes under the caps.

FRN/Shell sent back some codes to enter..got the $6 per gallon deal.

Fueled up my Audi Cabriolet with premium ..A little over 13 gallons. Cost was $1.50. They took $4 off per gallon.

Went back later and fueled up my daughter's Audi, with premium..They gave a $2 per gallon credit..Her car took about 12 gallons..cost me about $24.

That finished off the FRN credits..spent $36 on six quarts of oil and saved $76 on premium Shell gasoline.

I know why the thieves steal the cap codes..

I sent a photo receipt on from some QS Defy. (yes its not Pennzoil, but still..) The deal was for .25 off a gallon. Received the email saying it was rejected because the brand was not specified on the invoice.

I called the number on the email and the lady was able to look up the reference number. She even laughed and said "what else could the Q mean on the receipt." She said I would get the email in about another week. Very helpful and hassle free. +1 for SOPUS.

The lady I called was in Texas.. it makes me wonder if the people that revise the receipts do not have English as their first language.

From what you wrote, it sounds like you got real LUCKY here!

For 6 quarts you should have gotten $1.20 off a gallon since it is 20c a quart x 6.

Looks like they mistook each of your 6 quarts for a 5 quart jug and gave you a $1 for each quart.

Had you maximized your tank fill you would have gotten $120 in free gas.

Right because everyone who has English as their first language is automatically literate and infallible.

Have you seen the spelling on this forum?

Btw "revise the receipts" does not appear to be proper English to me.

Looked at my FRN account and they did give $1 off X 6 for $6 off..I take it..I've been using Pennzoil for a long time.
