Only time I would "stretch its legs" is about a couple of hundred miles into the OCI of any oil.
If this were a concern, I would have trashed the engine the Jeep a long, long time ago. I beat on it pretty regularly and am not afraid of WOT at all. Heck, I took it down to Watkins Glen for opening weekend this year when it was 4500 miles into an OCI. It saw a very spirited (lots of WOT, some high revs, high cruising speeds) drive down there, and then 15 minutes on the track of near flat-out abuse (didn't get below 2500 rpm at any point, and if I wasn't on the brakes, I was on the throttle, usually at WOT).
