Well, I got the bushings on the rear suspension taken care of at a local hole in the wall type garage. Not a place I would take a "good" car to, but he does good work on simple jobs at a good price.
I wrapped and re-hung the damaged parts of the exhaust myself.
For the oil pan, I let the oil drain for a few days and cleaned the area near the rust hole with break cleaner. I used Permatex gasket maker and then put JB weld on top of that. Then I coated the pan with POR-15 (gray, so I can monitor for leaks).
The car hasn't leaked in 2 days and 40 miles of driving.
I think about how nice a brand new car would be, but it's also fun to have a beater to experiment on and not worry about scratches and dings.
I'm having fun (and saving money!) keeping her going for as long as I can.
