Sound cannons to slow down speeders?

There is unfortunately a growing opinion that it is ok to overreact when someone is committing a minor offense or is in an area where others commit offenses or where a law enforcement person just feels he or she is in danger.

Thank our reaction to 9/11 for this shift in attitude as well as the benefit of the doubt continuously given to the police due to all those who heighten our fear of crime (including the police).

Only when we can imagine ourselves in a position where this affects us do we get outraged about it. Too often when it is a fellow citizen who is not like us, we side against him and with authority.

Why not do like in md and have photo enforcement in those areas at all times. The revenue would pay for the equipment and radar jockey.
