Just wondering if anyone knows if Honda makes the hydrostatic drive for there push
mowers or are they made by another company. I took mine out and it has a serial No. but its not Hondas at least I cant get it to match up with anything. I want to take it apart and just in case I damage a gasket I wonder about finding some others or finding out if I can get parts. I already know Honda has know internal parts list for these.

you can get a whole new trans from here if you need to.

i haven't been able to find just the gasket for the lawnmower hydrostatic trans, however for my honda snowblower with a larger hydro trans boats.net has it fully exploded where i could buy any internal part including gasket. so it's probably obtainable.
i was able to split mine and not wreck the gasket, use a sharp thin putty knife to separate them if the gasket sticks. you can always buy make your own gasket material and cut one yourself if you have to.

Tufftorq/Kanzaki supplied Honda with some of their hydrostatic drives too I believe.
