I have seen the Targus listed but it has horrible reviews. Is there a docking station that works as advertised?

All they offer for the Envy is a USB port replicator, correct? There isn't no 'big connector' on the bottom of the laptop?

What is weird is that I purchased from HP Direct. They listed two models of Targus but zero from HP. Do you have a model number for the HP dock?

If all you can do is use a USB one, I highly recommend one of these.

I know that it might not be a 'heard of' brand, but me and a few other guys at work tested a bunch of them and we didn't like the Targus or HP offerings. This one worked well.

It was/is reliable enough to deploy to your CFO who takes his laptop home every night.

I have had incredible luck with the plugable interface for a third monitor.

Don't expect video or games though to be perfect flowing thru a USB port.

I have a HP 6910P laptop with a docking station connector underneath. I have a HP docking station. If there is a docking station from HP, I would check their website. they list all their accessories there.
