oil for 2002 Yamaha gas golf cart

Does anyone know if 5w-30 motor oil has been back specified for older Yamaha gas golf carts that originally called for 10w-30? This is for a 2002 G-16 cart with a splash lubrication system, no filter. I ask this because 10w-30 synthetic is getting harder to find.

5w30 can replace 10w30 in almost all applications, especially if we are talking synthetic.

I wouldn't have a problem using 5w-30 in place of 10-30, especially with the soft life of most golf carts.
