Hi
As the title states. I am working on this engine for a family friend
I have worked on engines, and mechanical things for a long time, but i am no professional tech. I just enjoy doing the work, and extra money.
I do lots of research on the project I agree to do, however don't always have the available service manuals fir each vehicle
I have a misfire in cylinder 2, and have done all required electrical test associated with troubleshooting tthis issue, and components checked out with no problems

I moved on to doing a compression test on cylinder 2 and it has 66 psi all others tester in the 170 range. I then did a cylinder compression test on #2 and have a 38% leakage at exhaust valves only.

I will be pulling the head this week and have a few questions

My question for the moment is...
Does anyone have any tips and tricks for this procedure
That will help me along the way, to ensure a one time do it right job?

Thanks for any advice,I appreciate it

I believe there were updates to the camchain and tensioner on later models.

I assume these updates could be easily introduced when you have it apart.

These engines do suffer from fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator problems.

Good engine though.

And sadly rare in Europe due to fuel prices.
