What I am trying to do is plot data points in a simple XY plot, but I want to be able to control the scale of the two axes

I got about 2000 datapoints in the form:

0.1, 0.5675
0.2, 0.6843
0.3, 0.2453

And so on, I tried to use LibreOffice Calc but it squeezes all the points in the graphic and all the detail is lost, I don't mind if the final graphic is several monitors long but I want the 2 axes to have the same scale.

In the past I used the program "Grapher" of Mac OS X but last year I ditched the mac in favor of xubuntu 13.10

I wonder if Google Docs would work. I've never created a graph in it, but the spreadsheet web app is pretty powerful.
