I have a big bottle of the blue Marine Stabil that I used sparingly. I do like to run 2 stroke in my gas at 1oz per 5 gallons every tank though. The Stabil has the sweet little measuring pour spout on top so when it was about half gone I filled the rest of the bottle with Pennzoil 2 stroke. Whats interesting is that it now has a fishy odor like the Gumout Regane or the Redline SI-2.
Does the Stabil have PEA in it? What could cause it to have that smell to it now? I am just running that mixture at 1 oz per 5 gallons of gas in my 06 Tundra and my 93 4x4 Pickup with the 22RE. I am not concerned as the 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of Stabil and 2 Stroke isn't a problem but am wondering why it now smells
Any thoughts?
