Patricia Briggs hasn't ruined my life, unlike some of the vampire books that my better half reads which are so wrong that it's not funny...first off, Vampires don't sparkle.

OVERKILL's Lapua had me wondering if anyone is playing paper patched lead in that calibre yet (Cast Bullet Handbook has some good results in 300 Win Mag)....and I came across this.

Ive shot Cast Lead in 358 Norma Magnum from my Remington made 03A3 Sportster.

On the other hand this Rifle can sling 250grain Solid Coppers at 2900 fps so maybe a silver bullet in that weight?

Intriguing caliber. I have a few 35's (Whelen, Whelen AI, 358, etc...). The Norma was one I always wondered about.

For maximum effectiveness, I would think that bullet mass would be the key, so, I would consider pouring them in 45-70 Gov't...The standard cast lead bullet is 405 grain, but since the density of lead is 11340 kg m-3, and that of silver is 10490 kg m-3, you would be shooting a roughly 375 grain bullet for your purposes...

Now, a 375gr bullet would weigh roughly 25 grams...and in bar form that much silver would cost about $15...so, I would certainly hope that you need silver bullets...

What about using extra hard silver solder? I imagine it would be easier to work with than pure silver. Does it cost more?

I'd say that silver jacketted with a swaged lead core would be a better blend...calibres are limited 'though

Depends on the gun. The least expensive ones are just over the $1K Canadian FWIW:
