Bolt thread sealant.

Changing differential gasket and fluid [synthetic] on my 55 Chevy PU.
Any recommendations on what to use for a sealant on the threads of the bolts? Want to make sure of no leaks!

The threads of the bolts are not part of the "seal". While I might use never-seize I would not use a sealer on the actual bolt threads.

Permatex 2B is what I use for bolts going into oil or water.

It's also an excellent gasket dressing for cork or paper gaskets.

Yah me too. It made changing a water pump that had been in for several yrs a breeze to replace.
