Nice find! I've photo copied some pages from a real book in the past, but having it all on PDF is great.
 
I noticed the PDF is word searchable also, which is great. Looks like it was scanned, but still work searchable.
 
Thanks mate, it's my most referred to book, now I can refer on the fly...and don't have to photobucket poor happy snaps in threads.

I looked through the pages on ring lubrication. Looks like he models the ring face as an arc.
 
Rings will always have a rounded face, whether they are square and wear that way, or ground to achieve that shape.

What about tapered rings?

So you're saying a square faced ring will wear rounded because it rocks back and forth in it's groove as the piston goes up and down?
