I've recently come into a few cases of Ecopower SM rated synthtic blend in a couple weights I use. I plan to run it in a 2009 f150 5.4 and a 2008 yukon 5.3 afm. I've had the f150 since new and have been running 5k OCIs with primarily castrol syntec. I purchased the yukon a few months ago and have been doing 5-6k valvoline synpower changes. (Only one so far about to do the second)

What sort of OCI should I do? I know 5k is conservative for my synthetic changes but oil is cheap. I don't have much experience using blends but was thinking 5k OCI.

I can definitely recommend going longer than 5,000 on syn oils.

My wife's car falls under severe service and we follow the OLM with conventional 5W30. I typically change the oil between 6000-7500 miles.

We don't short trip. The nearest gas station is 2-3 miles away. Most trips are at least 5-10 miles and we both get extended runs on the highway in excess of 20-30 minutes weekly. I have more stop and go in the truck for my morning commute of 25 miles.

Any direct experience with ecopower oil? I'm having a hard time finding info...
