Would it be acceptable to use a generic high temp wheel bearing grease on Zamak/zinc castings, or is there a corrosion risk similar to EP gear oil and copper?
No. The EP addtiive in gear lube is typically sulfur which attacks yellow metals. In your situation I doubt that the grease has any significant amounts of sulfur and zinc castings are not yellow metals.
