My wife has a '00 Kia Sportage. Last year we had to replace a valve cover gasket. I was surprised when the cover came off, it looked like the motor was built last week.We've been running Mobil 1 ex- perf oil with a pure one filter since '01 ? I believe.Simple, easy and 12k oil changes that run 18 months usually. No oil usage or smoke, 104k miles.

My numbers have been pretty solid too with an avg of 7000-9000 per fill depending on what it was filled with. I've used, PU, PP, M1, max life, defy and G-oil. The only fill the car hated was castrol titanium. As much noise as the m1 makes, the castrol was even worse. PU, PP and Defy are the quietest in that order and have provided quality results.
