Vehicle is a 2001 Honda CR-V w/ 95k miles.

When using the cruise control, if you tap the brake pedal to disengage the cruise, the throttle will not fully release. If you hold the brakes down until you stop, you'll hear the engine running higher than idle - it'll be about 1,200 RPM or so. If you tap the accelerator, you'll hear and feel the throttle "unstick".

Without cruise, the throttle operates normally. It is smooth and does not stick regardless of throttle position when not using the cruise control. Cable slack at the throttle body was adjusted about 5k miles ago and appears to be good.

How/where should I start troubleshooting this?
