All,

My mechanic accidentally used the non-sythetic variant of Rotella when changing my oil (I blame myself since I didn't specifically call out synthetic or provide the oil myself).

My question to the forum, how long can I go before changing the oil?

I'll have the UOI from the previous sample in a week or so, if that helps sway the decision any.

Thanks all.

I have been doing OCI of 4000 miles with random non synthetic in our 2005 Legacy GT over 9yrs/165000miles (2.5L turbo) and zero problems or issues.

I would not sweet it, just dump at 4000 oci or whatever makes your comfortable.

I am running the regular Rotella 15-40 in a turbo motorcycle that I am pretty certain would be taking more of a beating than your car, and I don't worry too much. However, I don't do all that many miles...but they are hard miles and extreme temps (no oil gauge but know how hot the thing is running).
